Instrument for a floating dock is a site-specific sound installation created for the show Shake Out III at Far Rockaway’s Beach Channel Marina. The instrument’s sound is controlled by the movement of the dock over water and by people walking around the dock area. The dock became a habitat for drone-like sounds and a comfort zone for the audience.
